Hostalot Affiliate Terms & Conditions

These Affiliate Terms & Conditions (“Affiliate Terms”) govern your participation in the Hostalot Affiliate Program (“Program”). These Affiliate Terms are incorporated into the Hostalot Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service control.
By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these Affiliate Terms.
1. Program Overview
The Program allows approved affiliates (“Affiliate,” “you,” “your”) to earn commissions by referring new customers to Hostalot using your unique tracking link(s) or approved promotional methods.
Hostalot (“we,” “us,” “our”) reserves the right to approve or reject any application in our sole discretion.
2. Eligibility
To participate, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- Provide accurate application and payment information.
- Operate in compliance with all applicable laws and advertising rules.
We may request identity or tax documentation before issuing payouts.
3. Affiliate Links & Tracking
We will provide approved tracking links or methods.
You agree:
- Not to alter, obscure, or manipulate tracking codes.
- Not to use misleading redirects or deceptive link placements.
- To ensure your promotions are clearly associated with your brand identity.
Hostalot is not responsible for tracking failures caused by:
- Ad blockers, cookie restrictions, browser privacy features
- User device changes
- Network or platform issues beyond our control
4. Qualifying Referrals
A “Qualifying Referral” generally means:
- A new customer who has not previously had a Hostalot account, and
- Who signs up and completes payment through your tracking link, and
- Whose payment is not reversed, refunded, or charged back within the applicable validation period.
We may define additional rules per product category (hosting, courses, templates) on the affiliate dashboard or program page.
5. Commission Structure
Commission rates, eligible products, and payout rules may be listed on:
- The affiliate landing page
- Your affiliate dashboard
- Or your written agreement with Hostalot
We may update commission rates prospectively with notice.
6. Validation Period and Holds
To protect against fraud and refund risk, commissions may be held for a validation period before becoming payable.
Common examples:
- Hosting: held until initial payment clears and remains active for [X] days
- Digital products: held for [X] days

7. Payouts
Payouts may be issued:
- Monthly or on another schedule stated in the Program details

You are responsible for:

Hostalot may withhold payouts when:
- Fraud is suspected
- Policy violations occur
- Required verification/tax info is not provided
8. Prohibited Marketing Methods
You may not:
8.1 Misrepresent Hostalot
- Make false claims about features, pricing, compatibility, or guarantees.
- Imply you are an employee, agent, or official representative of Hostalot.
8.2 Use Spam or Unethical Outreach
- Send unsolicited bulk email or messages.
- Use purchased lists.
- Use deceptive or aggressive tactics.
8.3 Engage in “Cookie Stuffing” or Link Manipulation
- Inject affiliate cookies without a user’s clear action.
- Use hidden iframes or forced clicks.
8.4 Bid on Restricted Branded Terms (Optional Rule)
Unless explicitly permitted in writing, you may not bid on:
- “Hostalot”
- “Hostalot hosting”
- “Hostalot course”
- Misspellings or confusingly similar variations

8.5 Self-Referrals (Recommended Rule)
You may not earn commissions on:
- Your own purchases
- Purchases by your immediate household
- Purchases you control through multiple accounts
9. Disclosure Requirements
You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship as required by law.
Examples:
- “I may earn a commission from purchases made through this link.”
- “Affiliate link.”
This disclosure should be:
- Clear
- Conspicuous
- Close to the affiliate link or endorsement
10. Brand Use
You may use Hostalot’s approved brand assets solely to promote the Program.
You may not:
- Modify logos in a misleading way
- Use our brand in a manner that implies ownership or partnership beyond the Program
- Register domains, social handles, or ads that impersonate Hostalot
We may revoke brand usage permission at any time.
11. Fraud, Abuse, and Chargebacks
We may void commissions and/or withhold payouts for:
- Fraudulent transactions
- Incentivized signups not approved by Hostalot
- Chargebacks or refunded purchases
- Violations of these Affiliate Terms
We may require reimbursement of previously paid commissions tied to fraudulent or reversed transactions where permitted by law.
12. Term and Termination
These Affiliate Terms begin once you are approved.
Either party may terminate participation at any time.
We may immediately suspend or terminate your account for:
- Fraud or suspected fraud
- Brand misuse
- Deceptive marketing
- AUP or Terms of Service violations
Upon termination:
- You must stop using affiliate links and Hostalot brand assets.
- Unpaid commissions may be forfeited if tied to policy violations.
13. No Employment or Agency
You are an independent contractor.
Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Program is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hostalot will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages related to the Program.
Our total liability under these Affiliate Terms will not exceed the total commissions paid to you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Changes to the Program
We may update:
- Commission rates
- Eligible products
- Rules and policies
- Program structure
We will update the Effective Date and provide notice as required by law.
Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
