Hostalot Agency Templates License

Agency License Overview
The Hostalot Agency License is built for freelancers and agencies who want to use Hostalot Templates across multiple client projects. You can build and deliver finished client websites using our Templates, while keeping the underlying template assets protected from resale or redistribution.

This Agency Templates License (“Agency License”) is an optional expanded license from Hostalot for customers who purchase an Agency-tier template product or add-on. This Agency License supplements and forms part of the Hostalot Templates License Addendum and the Hostalot Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service control.

By purchasing or using Templates under an Agency License, you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Templates” means Hostalot templates, design assets, UI kits, code snippets, and downloadable resources.
  • “Agency Customer” means the individual or business that purchased an Agency License.
  • “Client” means a third party for whom the Agency Customer builds a website or digital project.
  • “Deliverable” means the finished website or project created for a Client.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agency License, the Templates License Addendum, and the Terms of Service, Hostalot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Templates to create Deliverables for multiple Clients.

This is a license, not a sale.

3. What You Can Do

With an active Agency License, you may:

  • Use Templates to build websites and digital projects for multiple Clients.
  • Modify Templates to fit each Client’s brand and requirements.
  • Include Template-based components in Client Deliverables.
  • Maintain and update Client websites built using Templates.

4. What You Cannot Do

Even with an Agency License, you may not:

  • Resell, repackage, or redistribute Templates as standalone products.
  • Provide Templates to Clients as a reusable template pack, starter kit, or download.
  • Upload Templates to public marketplaces, repositories, or free libraries.
  • Claim Templates as your original product for resale or licensing.
  • Use Templates to create a competing template product line.

5. Client Handoff Rules

You may deliver:

  • A finished website with Template-based code embedded and customized.

You may not deliver:

  • Raw Template files intended for reuse across multiple sites.
  • Template bundles or libraries that allow the Client to extract and reuse Templates as templates.

If a Client requests reusable template files, they must purchase their own Hostalot Templates license unless you have a separate written agreement authorizing that use.

6. Seat and Team Use (Optional Clause)

Unless your Agency License product explicitly includes team access:

  • The Agency License is intended for use by one legal business and its internal team.
  • You may not sublicense Templates to unaffiliated contractors or partner agencies.

(If you later sell a “Studio License,” this section can be upgraded.)

7. Access Tied to Payment

Agency License access may be tied to verified purchases through Hostalot billing systems.

We may suspend or revoke the Agency License if:

  • A payment is reversed,
  • A chargeback is filed,
  • Or fraud is suspected.

8. Enforcement and Audit

Hostalot may review reasonable evidence of compliance if we suspect misuse.
Refusal to cooperate with a reasonable compliance request may result in suspension or termination of the Agency License.

9. No Warranty

Templates and Agency License rights are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

This Agency License terminates automatically if you violate:

  • This Agency License,
  • The Templates License Addendum, or
  • The Terms of Service.

Upon termination, you must stop using Templates for new Client projects.
Existing Client Deliverables may remain in place, but you may not reuse Templates for new builds unless your license is reinstated.

11. Changes to This License

We may update this Agency License from time to time.
We will update the Effective Date and provide notice as required by law.
